New Technologies / Facilities Available

At All Saints Catholic College we always endeavour to utilise New Technologies whenever possible in order to enhance and further support the learning experience of our students.
We believe in having new technologies available in the classrooms, which can be used by members of staff when appropriate, to deliver a more exciting and engaging topic or to further support and enrich the work usually done in a more traditional way.
Evidence of the use of new technologies can be found around the college and include:
  • Over 500 computers giving staff and students access to a wide range of educational and business software
  • Computers in EVERY classroom
  • Interactive whiteboard & projectors in EVERY classroom
  • A wireless network with 40 access points providing whole school coverage and supporting over 100 wireless laptops (staff and students)
  • Electronic lesson registration using SIMS Lesson Monitor
  • School VLE (Virtual Learning Environment)
  • Latest Office 2010 on every computer in school
  • Latest Adobe Web Premium Suite CS6
ICT Network Facilities
Our status as a Microsoft Partner School means that we have privileged access to Microsoft expertise and software at very competitive rates. Our  latest computer network provides very fast start-up times. Seven computer suites and an extensive network of laptops with wireless Internet access provide enhanced support for learning, as do our modern interactive whiteboards and projectors.  A clear code of conduct for computer use linked with comprehensive site filters makes sure students do not access unsuitable material on the Internet.
