The careers adviser in All Saints Catholic College is Susan Stewart. Susan comes to all Year 9, Year 10 and Year 11 parents’ evenings in school and is on hand to discuss your career ideas and give information, advice and guidance about post 16 opportunities.

Careers interviews

Careers interviews start after Easter for Year 10 where Susan will meet with you to discuss your individual plans for the end of Year 11, these interviews continue until Christmas of Year 11 as everyone at All Saints Catholic College gets the opportunity of a one to one interview with Susan. Of course this is not limited to one meeting as we may need to meet again as plans evolve. We may help organise some visits for you to local provision so that you can see for yourself what is on offer.

They are not formal interviews so no need to feel nervous.

Your adviser will then want to find out about you, your interests and skills and any ideas that you have for your future career such as work, education or training. This is in order to best help you move onto something that is of interest to you at the end of key stage four.

We keep in touch with local training provision and colleges and employers and have up to date knowledge of what is available to you and also what links in to what you are interested in.

In year 9 we may talk to you about your option choices and career ideas and provide you with information for you to help plan ahead.

In Year 11 it is decision time, often opportunities have to be applied to by January time. We will organise visits and let you know about any open evenings taking place. We can also let you know about learner bursary fund if you remain in education or training and help you make timely applications to college/providers.

Our company also offers a vacancy matching service for Year 11 wanting to find apprenticeships or jobs with training. It is under ‘jobs and training’ on

In Year 11 you will receive your copy of Get Organised. This is full of very useful information for end of year 11 so keep it safe as you will definitely need to refer to it.
